This morning I finished the yearbooks pages, three friends and I were making together over at my house yesterday. They were basically two facing pages of photographs from the past four years, some common/funny phrases and a cartoon of each of us that I made using my tablet. It actually turned out really well, despite all our problems. At first, we decided to us Photoshop, but the the scale of the image, when using A4 size was messy, so we decided to use illustrator. Of course, using the 'place' function to link all the pictures to their scans meant we ran out of memory really fast. We got around that by copy pasting the pictures in. Then we saved the illustrator file as an eps (and pdf because on of the pictures was misbehaving) opened them in photoshop and then saved them as .tif files. With all those pictures and a resolution of 300 dpi each of the pages was about 34mb each. Since they were so huge I had to run them into school on a zip disc, to copy over onto the school's server. It was weird to be back in school like that, but mostly because it was so quiet with all the younger grades (9 and below) out on discovery weeks, and 10 and 11 doing their year-end exams.
After that my mom and I had to get our pictures taken for our new visa/passports, and get them sent off to the Home Office. Hopefully, because we're getting different standing this time it'll make it easier with my UK university forms because they're being really sneaky about my being (or not being) a home student despite having four years residency.
Then we headed off to Westminster to pick up some stuff left at Dean's Yard from the graduation cermony. It was unbelievable how much stuff was left. In any case. We brought back an empty guitar case, a really nice coat, and graudation clothing with I will have to take into the school so people can pick them up. I guess there's no rush considering most of the people are on the grad trip to Spain leaving today. It's amazing though, how carrying a guitar case, everyone seems to be drawn to you for directions.
Just now I watched Spy Game, which was a pretty cool movie, although from the trailer it wasn't really what I thought it was going to be. There was only one scripting flaw with it, right at the end which bugged me because I caught it, but no worries. I won't spoil it for you.
